This Saturday, 10th of March, I am going to the official opening of Melville Jewellers. In February, it moved to its new location, The Stammers Shopping Centre, in Palmyra. There will be a prize draw, entrees and champagne at the official opening.

Melville Jewellers was set up by Mike Benche 16 years ago in the suburb of Melville, south of Perth. About 80% of their business is repeat customers and they will also be attending the opening. Mike runs the shop with his manager, Fausta who has been there for 14 years.

The shop sells a range of jewellery and specialises in custom designs, the Celtic My Way is an example of such a brand made by Mike himself. They also sell custom wedding bands and engagement rings. A lot of business comes from jewellery and watch repairs. I personally am a fan of the Celtic My Way range. Each piece is unique meaning you won't ever bump into someone wearing the same necklace, earrings or bangle as you.

Melville Jewellers also sells a wide range of Guess purses and handbags and an Italian brand called Burglar. They are exceptional quality and sometimes have discounts of up to 30%, making it a good deal indeed.

This Saturday there will be a prize draw where one person will win a $500 Australian south sea pearl pendant. There have been adverts in the Fremantle and Melville Herald and if you bring the ad with you, you will be able to enter the prize draw.
Help your local business and head down to the Melville Jewellers shop this Saturday.
The address is Shop 5a, Stammers Shopping Centre 265 Canning Highway, Palmyra
