It can be great getting the kids in their PJs and driving them around the suburbs to see all the beautiful Christmas lights. Some people go to such lengths to impress with thousands of lights and even synchronised music and light presentations.
The best known are of course those in Ivanhoe's Boulevard but that has got a little chaotic over the years.
The club has run the tours for the last ten or so years with the help of Melton Council. There is no cost except for a gold coin donation for the service. They have five buses running on Friday and Saturday nights in the lead up to Christmas.
The dates for this year are the 13th and 14th, the 20th and 21st and the 22nd of December.
This is a great outing for everyone including families, teenagers, the elderly, and people who don't drive. There is a standard route taken each year with new houses added to the driver's itinerary as they learn about others through word of mouth.
