An opportunity to dress up and brush your hair at last
The Sunnybank Performing Arts and Cultural Centre, affectionately known as SunPAC, is back in business! Operating with a COVID Safe and Healthy Plan, we can once again enjoy first-class entertainment in a first-rate theatre space.
Melly Melody and her band will be performing songs as a tribute to the great female voices of the '40s, '50s and '60s on Wednesday, 16th September in a show commencing at 11am. S'Wonderful pays homage to Vera Lynn, The Andrews Sisters, Patsy Cline, Peggy Lee, Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Julie London, Jo Stafford, Billie Holiday, Patti Page, Etta James, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, and Dusty Springfield.
I saw this show elsewhere several weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, as well as the opportunity to wear heels and lipstick. Melly is an experienced performer having also taught drama and worked in musicals previously. More importantly, she has a passion for this music from a different era which encourages her to weave stories throughout her performance.
SunPAC is located at 470 McCullough Street, Sunnybank and tickets are available from here. for $28.00 a ticket.
The centre has an ample outdoor carpark as well as underground parking which features accessibility carparks near the lift. SunPAC also is accessible by public transport - refer to Translink.
