Melly Melody Entertainment is proudly presenting Hello Gorgeous - The Barbra Streisand Songbook at the Sunnybank Performing Arts Centre (SunPAC), on Saturday 25 June, 2 pm with evocative veteran performer Susanne Campbell (The Kitty Kats). Tickets are now on sale - one show only!

She is one of the best-selling recording artists of all time, with over 150 million records sold worldwide, and she is the only recording artist to have enjoyed a number-one album in each of the last seven decades!

Hello Gorgeous - The Barbra Streisand Songbook celebrates 80 years of Streisand magic and features Susanne Campbell, together with special guest, Simon Chamberlain (Cloudland, Oh what A Night!) backed by an onstage band with musical direction by Maestro Pete Kelly.

From cabaret and musical theatre to movie and pop songs, Streisand's catalogue is extraordinary, and her song selection is exemplary. Hello Gorgeous - The Barbra Streisand Songbook explores the highest-selling female recording artist of all time, featuring legendary hits 'The Way We Were', 'Evergreen', 'Don't Rain On My Parade', 'New York State of Mind,' 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers, People', and many more.

As a multi-award-winning phenomenon, Barbra Streisand continues to thrill audiences with her extraordinary voice and enormous talent. 'I am really excited to perform the songs from one of the most amazing female singers of this century. Barbra Streisand's songs are so iconic, organic and connected,' Ms Campbell says.

About the Artists:

Susanne Campbell is a professional singer who has won an array of prestigious accolades, including a Mo Nomination for 'Female Variety Performer of the Year' at the Australian Live Entertainment Awards, Sydney. In addition, Ms Campbell has won scholarships from both NIDA (Musical Theatre) and Australian College of Entertainment (Performing Arts). She was also part of the first group selected for the NSW Talent Development Project to win a scholarship. She achieved another scholarship for singing, acting and dancing from the Tammy Worth Academy of Performing Arts, Sydney. Ms Campbell was a regular feature singer on television on Nine Network's Midday Show in the late 90s and held guest appearances on Good Morning Australia and The Footy Show. She is an original artist who writes her own songs and produces work for corporate industry and other artists' albums. Ms Campbell has toured in large production shows overseas and performed her own solo shows. She has also been a featured artist for Sydney Opera House, The Sydney Entertainment Centre, Stadium Australia, The Superdome and Brisbane Convention Centre.

Simon Chamberlain is a renowned musical theatre artist and an exceptionally talented vocalist with a Bachelor of Music (Contemporary Vocal Performance), and a Master of Music Studies in Vocal Pedagogy from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Mr Chamberlain has also worked in high demand as a professional Singing Teacher. His previous theatre credits include roles in Songs for a New World, The Little Mermaid, Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Legally Blonde, Jesus Christ Superstar, Bat Boy: The Musical, Urinetown and The Jersey Guys, as well as taking part in several original cabaret performances.

Pete Kelly is a highly acclaimed Musical Director with an extensive portfolio of industry accomplishments. Following the completion of his musical studies at Guild Hall School of Music and Drama at The Barbican in London, Mr Kelly was appointed Musical Director to singer Englebert Humperdinck. He has worked as a recording session musician/arranger/musical director in London at the highest level of the UK music industry, working alongside legendary international recording artists, including Gladys Knight, The Four Tops, Ben.E.King, Petula Clark, Jack Benny and Donald O'Connor. Mr Kelly has been Musical Director for a string of successful productions in London, including Hair, Grease and the Rocky Horror Picture Show. In addition, he played piano for productions Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats, Copacabana, Smokey Joe's Café, Joseph and His Amazing Dreamcoat and The Last Vegas Ratpack. Mr Kelly has also toured with productions Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story, Annie, Guys and Dolls, Hairspray and Chicago, to name a few.
