Melissa's Takeaway can be found in West Lane. It's in a nook well covered by car parks and surrounded by large government office buildings. It's only a short walk from the Paspaley building and the NT Parliament.
From the outside, you'd walk past. But as locals know, this place is a great breakfast and lunchtime haunt. They are famous for their pies, hearty lunch and breakfast meals and generous portions. They are Territorians, so they know what's required in the heat to make people's tummy's happy.
They make good sandwiches, sell Paul's Iced Coffee (a must in the Territory), lasagna, fried food and roast meats. The staff are always friendly, and efficient.
At lunchtime, Melissa's is particularly busy. There is a lot of seating but that also fills up quickly. It's the local place for the tradespeople and office workers.
