If I told you, there is a place in Melbourne that sells original vintage dresses for $15 a pop, boots for $20 a pair, jeans for $10, bags, belts, tops, shorts and skirts for $5 each, would you believe me? It is true, Melbourne's Vintage Clearance Centre is a company with no fixed abode, but holds vintage sales at various venues across Melbourne every few months.
"We are a pop-up discount vintage store. We have no permanent physical address but every few months we put on an enormous sale where we deck out a hall with heeeeeeeeeaps of vintage stock and everyone has a good old rummage and goes home with a whole new wardrobe without breaking the bank" Melbourne's Vintage Clearance Centre's Facebook page.
When I heard the sale would be taking place in a relatively local suburb, at the Kingston Town Hall in Moorabbin, I had to go and see for myself.
Here are some snaps taken before the sale opened its doors to the public:
I removed the puffy sleeves on it, as you can see in the above photo. For $15, I'm thrilled with such a bargain.
Will I go back for the next sale? I sure will. The next venue and date is, at the moment, unknown, but if you sign up to Melbourne's Vintage Clearance Enter notifications via email, you'll be the first to know when the next sale will take place. Sign up here, or alternatively, keep an eye on their Facebook page for further details of the next sale.
