Museums can be an informative way to help the kids learn about the world around them, or an interesting way to pass some time. Most people will be aware of at least one museum in the city, but so many others can slip under the radar, this doesn't mean they aren't worth seeing. We're lining them all up, and searching for Melbourne's best Museum. We've got a few ideas of some good ones, but let us know which one you like the best.

The Melbourne Museum has a great collection of natural history exhibitions to explore throughout the year. It has seen the Tutankhamen exhibition as well as including some great collections on the natural world. During the school holidays kids can come along and enjoy special activities, helping them learn and discover the exhibitions. There is even a special Children's gallery aimed at 3-8 year-olds that encourages them to explore and learn.

Any sporting fans will love a trip to the National Sporting Museum , which rightfully calls Melbourne home. From Phar Lap to the AFL, here you can check out all things sport. There is interesting history, and interactive displays, and more to learn about sport than you knew existed. The National Sports Museum is also located at the MCG , which is an important piece of sporting history in its own right.

From sports to arts, there is a Museum for everything. The Australian Centre for the Moving Image is a great place to check out if you're interested about television, film, and all things video. The exhibitions available are always changing, but they remain interesting and interactive, and fun for both young and old.

Museums around Melbourne also take a look at the history of the city, and the people that have been there along the way. One of these museums is the Jewish Museum , which contains exhibitions exploring everything from Jewish history, Jewish art, and the history of Jews in Melbourne. You can also try the Chinese Museum , or the Immigration Museum , to see some of the other faces of Melbourne.

This isn't even the end of the list, there are so many other museums full of history and wonder. So let us know which you love to visit. We're looking for Melbourne's best museum and we need your help.
