Melbourne food courts offer every type of cuisine under one roof. The waiting time for food is never too long which means they are full of business people in a hurry during lunchtimes. It's hard to decide which one is best, so in no particular order, here are some of my favourites. Make sure you let us know which Melbourne food court you think is the best.

1) Australia on Collins, 260 Collins Street, CBD
This food court has a huge selection of eateries. For Asian and Indian food try Chillipadi's fresh curries; for gourmet burgers try Burger Edge; for some of the tastiest mexican food in the city try Salsa's, or for my personal favourite, try the ginger chicken with a side of rice at Tasty Thai. There's also lots of coffee, dessert and health food places to choose from too. Located in the heart of the CBD, Australia on Collins is handy for when you're in the city and want a range of foods to choose from that are all in one place.

2) Chadstone Shopping Centre, 1341 Dandenong Road, Chadstone
Chadstone Shopping Centre's food court has an even bigger selection of restaurants, you might even be tempted to try a few different places whilst you're there. Sushi fans will love this place as they can select from Sushi Koko, Sushi Sushi and Yume Sushi, to mention a few. Mrs. Fields has some delicious cookies on offer and Lord of the Fries is well know for its burgers and chips.

3) Queen Victoria Market, Corner of Elizabeth and Victoria Streets, CBD
The %26 restaurants Queen Victoria Market has a variety of food stalls, cafes and dessert vans where long queues of people can be found waiting for some of Melbourne's tastiest foods. The American Doughnut Van is a popular place for sweet treats. Borek is one of the cheapest places for a great lunch, with pastries costing just $2.50. La Catina has authentic tapas dishes and freshly made churros. The Queen Victoria Market food court is a vibrant place to grab something to eat or enjoy a coffee with friends.

4) Melbourne Central, Corner of LaTrobe and Swanston Streets, CBD
Melbourne Central is an up and coming hot spot for shopping in the city. If you don't want to venture too far whilst enjoying some retail therapy, the centre has an array of eateries. Grill'd is a great place for gourmet burgers and the fries are well worth trying too. There are many more cafes, bars and fast food places to pick from here.

5) QV Melbourne, Corner of Swanston and Lonsdale Streets
QV Melbourne has everything from healthy Sumo Salads, delicious Breadtop cakes, refreshing Feeling Fruity juices and In A Rush soups to New Zealand Natural ice-creams, yoghurts, shakes and smoothies. For a full list of places to eat and opening hours visit QV Melbourne .
