Celebrate Melbourne's finest musicians, artists & performers
On the weekend of the 18th to 20th August 2017, MelbourneEast Arts is presenting a three-day arts festival at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, East Melbourne.

MelbourneEast Arts is a unique community organisation which presents an engaging series of uplifting music, dance and arts events to the wider community.

These hand-picked events, celebrate the spirit of life within the community of East Melbourne and are designed to be thought-provoking and inspiring.

This family-friendly festival consists of a diverse range of cultural events - discover some of the 2017 highlights below:

EXHIBITIONS - Free Admission

  • "Shapeable Spaces" paintings by Anne Warren

    Exhibition of still life paintings and collages by Anne Warren.

    Opening of Exhibition by Bp Ian George AO on Friday 18 Aug at 8:30pm

  • "Captured in Bronze" sculptures by Michael Meszaros

    Exhibition of sculptures by Michael Meszaros.

  • Fri 18 Aug 7:00pm: La Fraternita di Solisti, cond. Robert Dora

    On Friday 26 August at 7pm, Robert Dora conducts La Fraternita di Solisti, a chamber orchestra comprised of virtuosi who love producing fine music together for all who will listen. In this performance, La Fraternita will be presenting a world premiere of Suite in A minor by B A Bates, as well as works by J S Bach, C P E Bach and Tchaikovsky. $40/$30 conc. includes refreshments served after the concert -

  • Sat 19 Aug 2:30pm: 'Puppet Adventures 'workshop

    Workshop led by professional puppet maker Helen Scrutton. $15/$10 conc includes all materials -

  • Sat 19 Aug 5:00pm: 'Passion, Betrayal and Triumph' concert with countertenor Hamish Gould and pianist David Lempriere-Laughton

    Countertenor Hamish Gould presents a recital of Classical and Baroque works, with David Lempriere-Laughton, piano. $30/$25 concession includes bubbles after -

  • Sat 19 Aug 8:00pm: 'An Evening with Noel Coward'

  • Sun 20 Aug 10am: Festival Eucharist, Rev'd Grant Edgcumbe with baritone Laurie Moore. Free morning tea after.

  • Sun 20 Aug 2:00pm: 'GODAI - earth | water | fire | wind | void' presented by DanceBourne Arts

    DanceBourne Arts is a collective dance company of classically trained professional artists focused on promoting knowledge and art through classical and contemporary dance.

  • Sun 20 Aug 3:30pm: 'Classics and Dance' presented by Baker Trio

    The Baker Trio Susan Pierotti violin, Robert Ekselmann cello and Robin Baker piano presents toe-tapping dances and soulful songs with Classical favourites: another popular concert to delight and inspire. $30/$25 conc includes bubbles served after -
