Animals and Music

Melbourne Zoo Twilights is back again this year with a great line up of performers. And whilst 2018 may seem a long way away, these events sell out very quickly. Starting on January 26th and ending on March 10th, every weekend the Melbourne Zoo will add musical sounds to the sounds of lions and the screech of monkeys.

Some of the musical performers will include the Cat Empire, the Teskey Brothers, the Sunny Boys and Neil and Liam Finn. A couple of second shows have already been added due to the first show being a sellout. So if you want to make sure you don't miss out check out the program here and buy those tickets sooner rather than later.

Before the performance, you can explore the Zoo at dusk (gates open at 5.30pm) and meet the animals before settling on the lawns for the show. These are all-ages events enjoyed in a safe and relaxed picnic-style experience alongside the musical sounds of some great local and international performers. Bring a picnic or pre-order one online and enjoy a fabulous night out at the Zoo.

The proceeds from this annual event go towards fighting animal extinction. So while you are listening to great music, you will also be contributing to a worthy cause of keeping animals such as the Eastern Barred Bandicoot, off the extinction list.
