The
Yarn and Fibre Festival on
Sunday 8 September 2019 from 10am to 3pm at the
corner of Bell Street and St Georges Road, Preston is an event much looked forward to by those in love with the snuggly feel and variety of fibres we have available today. You could say yarn and fibre art has a way of bringing crafters together in a circle of friendship with like minded others who might simply want to knit and create for loved one. Then there are those who take it to the next level of fibre art and artists.
This year, the
Festival will be kicking off the
Inaugural Yarn Championship where you can battle your fellow competitors in a series of (slightly silly) contests, and perhaps be crowned the
Yarn Champion of 2019. Stay updated via the
event page as
vendors will be announced very soon. Why don't you join the
MAILING LIST for a chance to win $50 to spend at the
Festival.
Head to the
Festival to discover some of Australia's most sought after fibre producers and fibre artists, and a day of shopping, learning, craft and fun times. When you need a break from filling your bags with the finest yarns and fibres, head to the Crafters Lounge, take a load off your feet and kick back with fellow crafters.
If you simply can't wait to get your hands on yarn-related events the
Yarn & Fibre Festival along with
Raxor Yarns & Fibres are having a
Learn to Dye Yarn - Beginners Workshop before the
Festival on
Sunday 18 August 2019 from 10am to 2pm. This is a
ticketed event for $130 that'll be held at
Cloverleaf Corriedale Stud, 1136 Gisborne-Bacchus Marsh Rd, Bullengarook. This is a
special workshop with Danielle from Raxor Yarns, using professional methods and Landscape Dyes.
