The famous annual festival is here again. University of Melbourne's Festival of Ideas will be held in October 1-6 2013 at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and Melbourne University Parkville Campus.
This year's theme is "The Art and Science of Wellbeing" which will be discussed in debates, presentations, discussions, performances, and many more. There will be some competitions if you want to bring home some prizes and memorabilia.
Furthermore, this theme will be divided into subthemes; one day is dedicated to one subtheme. They are: Environments (Wednesday, October 2), Food Nutrition (Thursday, October 3), Families (Friday, October 4), Brains Mind (Saturday, October 5), and finally Democracy (Sunday, October 6). On the first day (Monday, October 1), an opening debate on "The Role of Science in Public Life" will be served to you.
Most of the events are free, but make sure to book a place first. All further information including detailed event descriptions for each day can be found here at ideas.unimelb.edu.au.
