The Melbourne Town Hall is not just a place of administration but is also one of the city's home for the arts and culture. Its halls and function rooms have played host to many festivals, live performances and markets.

To better appreciate the architectural, political and social relevance of this historic building, the City of Melbourne hosts daily guided tours for the public. Best of all, the tours are FREE.

You can visit the interiors of this 19th century building including the Council Chamber and the Lord Mayor's chair, and the Melbourne Town Hall Grand Organ. Each tour only accommodates 10 people and bookings are essential. Reservations must be made via phone at least 24 hours ahead.
