The MSO has worked out how to reach the masses
The Godfather at MSO
The MSO has worked out how to reach the masses, positioning pop culture front and centre by pairing their performance with some of the most iconic movies of all time. A brilliant move by the MSO both expanding their audience to avid movie-goers and ensuring that by the time they leave, they recognise and appreciate the impact that the musical score has on story-telling. The uber-talented instrumentalists, led by their brilliant conductor, with pinpoint perfection, play so seamlessly in time with the film, you sometimes forget that they are there!
Already delighting audiences of all ages with their live performances of the score during films Babe, Star Trek and Back to the Future, the MSO are poised for their 2016 performances of The Godfather in March and April. Those who attended the Back to the Future performance, were given a sneak peak of another movie/MSO pairing in the works—Indiana Jones!
