While the Melbourne Shopping Festival is set up much like a trade show, it is targeted towards the general public. It covers many categories of goods including fashion, jewellery, homewares, electronics, bridal wear and more.
Shoppers will enjoy substantial savings from old favourite labels as well as new and upcoming brands. The Shopping Festival also gives you a glimpse into trends of the upcoming seasons.
Brands on offer include Alexander Wang, Lee, Nike, Adidas, and H&M. They claim that luxury brands will be showing their wares, but have remained fairly tight-lipped on exactly who will be there.
There is more to the Melbourne Shopping Festival than the name would suggest, with plenty of kid-friendly entertainment scheduled. Tribute acts seem to be the entertainment of choice, with Taylor Swift and Spice Girls tribute performers on the schedule. There is also a performance and meet and greet by a princess who looks suspiciously like Elsa from Frozen. The festival also features interactive activities for kids, such as a workshop from Bubble Muffin cooking club.
