The Melbourne Monologues is presented at La Mama Courthouse. This is its 4th year presenting this show. This year, it is a cabaret theme. Well, also part circus, part burlesque, but yes, woven together like you are at the Kitty Kat club in cabaret.

The 6 monologues feature subjects on everything from falling to dancing. Lips to beards to actual cats!. Of course, under all these are also some dark, depressing and confronting themes which are open to interpretation.

The acting and openness of the 6 actors are brilliant. Definitely an abstract performance and if that is something you love to experience I would recommend you get in quick, it finishes on Sunday 2nd December with a performance.
