This October, the Melbourne Meccano Club is once again hosting their annual exhibition event at the Brighton Philatelic Society premises in Gardenvale.

Meccano is a world famous model construction system created by Frank Hornby, which dates back to the 1907. It uniquely consists of metal strips, plates, angle girders, wheels, axles, gears, nuts and bolts, which can be used to create an endless array of realistic and fantastic working models and mechanical devices.

On the weekend of the 11th and 12th of October, you and your family are invited to come along and see what the talented Melbourne Meccano Club members have been working on throughout the year. There will be a diverse collection of models and devices to view across two halls, from small and intricate replicas to grand, imaginative works; there is sure to be something that captures the interest and imagination of all who attend!

This colourful exhibition is ideal for the whole family and will be open on Saturday, 11 October 2014, from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, 12 October 2014 from 10am to 4pm.

Admission is priced as follows;

  • Group (Two adults & up to three children) - $10.00

  • Adult - $5.00

  • School age - $2.00

  • Preschool - no charge.
