Conducted by Werner Ruecker, there's music by Händel, Wüsthoff, and Australian composers Elena Kats-Chernin, Shaun Rigney and others. Internationally renown soloists, formerly players with the MMO, including Slava and Leonard Grigoryan will be joined by equally talented Joel Woods for the exciting Concierto de Samba.
The Grigoryan Brothers will premiere a piece by their close friend Shaun Rigney, called 'At Swim-Two-Birds', written for two guitars and a mandolin orchestra. Consistently pushing classical guitar into genres such as jazz, folk and contemporary music, the brothers know no boundaries as they traverse new musical frontiers.
Supported by the City of Melbourne Arts Grants Program, enjoy the unique and thrill sounds of mandolins, mandolas and guitars for a fun night out.
