The Melbourne Latin Festival is proudly celebrating its 10th year with a vibrant fiesta of performances, lessons and parties in an exciting new venue - Williamstown Town Hall.

Whether you're a lover of dance, looking to learn world-class skills, or just love all things Latin, the Melbourne Latin Festival will have you dancing the night away!

Held over 3 fun-filled days and evenings on Easter long weekend (30 March to 1 April 2018), this fabulous event brings the world's best performers together to showcase the colours, sounds and artistry of Latin America.

This year's event is set to be the biggest yet with the participation of over 150 performers, 12 Latin DJs and 40 dance workshops.

Expect three days and nights of Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, Samba, Cha Cha, Argentine Tango, Kizomba and more with 40 dance workshops to choose from, for all levels from beginner to professional.

Star performers and instructors include:

  • World salsa champions, Ricardo Vega and Karen Forcano - Chile/Argentina

  • Dominican-style bachata specialists, Alex Morel and Desiree Godsell U.S

  • Mariano Neris and Bella Malekian, who have a love for both Mambo and each other - US/Sweden.

In addition to the interactive workshops facilitated by amazing and inspirational dancers, Melbourne Latin Festival 2018 will also offer an entertainment-filled weekend with 12 DJs and local, interstate and international artists bedazzling the crowds over 3 nights and a live Latin band on Saturday evening.

Melbourne Latin Festival has grown each year since it began in 2008 and is introducing bonus beginner Latin dance lessons in 2018 so audiences can literally warm up before enjoying an evening show!

Organiser and event founder, Natalie Montano, says anyone interested in Latin dancing from beginners through to professionals can work up a sweat at the three-day event sequins are optional. "With past classes including 'Sensual Bachata' and 'Afro-Fusion', the Festival is always so much fun and has a great social scene behind it. Now's your chance to discover the difference between tango, bachata, samba and zouk in a positive and supportive setting," Ms Montano said.
