Enjoy good times with the juggling community of Australia
Four days of juggling and circus fun at this convention right here in the heart of Melbourne. Founded in 2007 Melbourne Juggling Convention or 'MJC' is the largest event of its type in Australia. There will be juggling, circus workshops, performances and networking, so get in early for the early bird ticket. You can also 'like' their Facebook page to keep abreast of upcoming events.
This year it is being held at the beautiful new Circus Oz facility in Collingwood. If you have a passion for learning circus, come to the workshops. You don't have to be a skilled juggler to attend. You can come for just a day or the whole 4 days if you're keen! A whole range of circus skills from beginners to advanced and special events are on offer. There will also be various performances to attend. Complete beginners are encouraged to come and learn a few skills and join a new community of exciting people. Kids and adults are all welcome and no prior experience is necessary.
Saturday night is the public show where some of the professional performers strut their stuff. This show is open to the general public and you can purchase tickets for the show, which is separate from the convention participation tickets.
The venue is at 50 Perry St, Collingwood (Circus Oz building)
Situated between Jonston and Perry streets, next door to the Tote pub, and within easy walking distance of the Smith street shops and Victoria Park Station. MJC will be using the Jonston street entrance, through the big black gates next to The Tote.
