For garden and floral enthusiasts, what better way to celebrate than at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, Royal Exhibition Building & Carlton Gardens, 9 Nicholson St, Carlton from Wed 21 to Sun 25 March 2018, 9am to 5pm each day, except for Friday 23 March, when Gardens by Twilight will run till 9pm. Late admission to the show will be 4.15pm, except on the Friday Twilight session.

Tickets are $29.90 per adult, $25.90 per Student Tertiary Card, Pension Concession Card, Carer Card, and Seniors Card, with children 14 and under going free. The Flower School Workshops are an extra $29.90 each to attend, and you need to have purchased a general admission ticket to gain access to the workshop.

For workshop tickets, tick the appropriate box along with the general tickets, on the same link. Workshops run at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm each day, with extra times on Twilight Friday at 6pm and 8pm. For all other information please check the FAQS on the website, and the news for updates.


In its 23rd year, the air in the equally beautiful Royal Exhibition Building will be permeated with the aroma of bursting blooms. The Southern Hemisphere's leading floral and landscape design event, you'll find floral installations and outstanding Show Gardens that'll take your breath away. Hands-on floral design workshops, meeting key designers and industry experts will be some of the added highlights of the day, along with specialist retail products and plants on offer. The show will be alive with roving entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

All your senses will be tingling with the beauty that surrounds, including 115 sculptures entered by 65 artists from the ASV (Association of Sculptors of Victoria Inc) along the Grand Central Boulevard of the Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens. This body of work will be sited and judged according to its suitability to scales of garden i.e. courtyard, garden and estate.


Graeme Wilkie, sculptor and founder of Qdos Gallery, Lorne will preside as the judge for the prizes. To attend a special viewing of this exhibition and the presentation of prizes held after, at the Workers Club, 51 Brunswick St, Fitzroy, you need to download and print a copy of the invitation for each guest wishing to attend the viewing. Show the invite at the Rathdowne Street entry to the Carlton Gardens to gain admission, as viewing commences at 4pm, and the presentation will take place from 6pm. The $15 per head charged includes finger foods, and drinks may be purchased at the bar. Please RSVP for the presentation event to asv_mifgs@sculptorsvictoria.asn.au
