Event:
A Great Way to Make New Friends
Ahh, Instagram. You either hate it or love it, and I for one am very much in love with it. In fact I am so addicted to it that it would take a whole new social media platform to pry my eyes away from my mobile screen.

You may have heard of the term "instameet" before, where a bunch of Instagram users meet up and go on fun walks, who take photos, and then upload to Instagram, and it becomes this great little network of friends whom you wouldn't necessarily ever meet otherwise. I must admit, years ago I would scrunch my nose up at the thought of meeting complete strangers from the internet, however this is somehow different. It isn't dating, it isn't a job interview, and it certainly isn't a bunch of creeps looking for "some fun". It's just a group of people who I am proud to call my friends - ones who actually share the same interests, which is pretty cool really.

This Saturday, 17th May is the 9th World Wide Instameet (#WWIM9). Hosted by Branca, Amal and Lego Jacker from igersmelbourne, the plan is to gather at Parliament Station at 12:45pm for a strict 1:00pm start. From there, we are to head over to the Melbourne Museum, which will be free for the first 30 people. If you haven't been on an instameet yet, but would like to meet new people, then I can't stress enough how perfect this will be for you. Hopefully see you there!
