What goes around comes around and more often than not we change our minds, outgrow or simply lose interest in many of our wardrobe items before they are even close to being worn out. In some cases, the garments haven't even been worn. Introducing the Melbourne Frock Swap, a curious blend of top quality pre-loved, retro and vintage fashion at seriously affordable prices. Restricted to ladies clothing only, come simply as buyer or you can book your own stall and sell your unwanted wares, either way, you're sure to enjoy this day of frenzied fashion fun.
The Melbourne Frock Swap usually consists of over 70 stallholders. Held in the Seaworks building, you can almost imagine the space as being one massive wardrobe, filled to overflowing with garments and accessories designed especially for women. Men and kids are most certainly welcome, but they will be relegated to the sidelines as this market caters exclusively to women. I imagine nothing less than an overwhelming collection of shirts and shorts, dresses and slacks, designer and every day, accessories and shoes, swimwear, scarves, hats, gloves, lingerie, sleepwear, jumpers and coats. Quite literally anything and everything you could want - for every occasion - and there'll be plenty on offer catering to every style and taste.
Organisers promise ample change-room space will be available, and when you've worn yourself out from all that putting-on and stripping-off, why not take time out to sit and relax at one of the 'pamper' stalls. This really is an all-inclusive girl's day out.
So you really can stay and play dress-ups all day, there'll be food vans onsite to satisfy every sized hunger and you can stay hydrated courtesy of the freshly brewed coffee cart wheeling in especially.
New stallholders are always welcome at the Melbourne Frock Swap. So if you'd like to spring clean your wardrobe and make some extra cash, why not come along as a seller and rehouse some of your unwanted wares.
