Fringe Festival guide for the unacquainted

Independent arts can be wonderful, they can bend your mind, take you to new places and reignite your passion with music, theatre, comedy and cabaret. They can also be scary. Make you feel like you're experiencing the longest 90 minutes of your life, or take you to places that you never want to revisit. Melbourne Fringe Festival is on of the best ways to experience independent theatre, comedy, cabaret, music and most other forms of artistic expression in Melbourne. To make sure you have the right kind of experience, I'm here to offer you some risk-free suggestions to navigating your way through the Melbourne Fringe Festival program this year. These acts have all proven themselves in the past and are offering quality, entertaining and accessible independent shows.

Shut Up and Dance
Presented by Melbourne's The Town Bikes, an acrobatic comedy duo, Shut Up and Dance is returning for its second year in 2015. This interactive dance party is hosted by Yana Alana and featured a range of instructors who give en masse dance tuition to the crowds in the most ridiculous of manners. To compliment this absurdity, there are performances by Nuholani Polynesian Performing Arts, Australian Natural Bodybuilding Vic and Anna's Go-Go Academy. This one-off event is sure to sell out.

Your Comment
I hadn't even heard of the fringe Festival before I came across it on Weekend Notes. There is so much talent it's hard to choose between them.
