MELBOURNE FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL POSTPONES ITS 2020 PROGRAM TO SPRING

Melbourne's biggest gastronomic celebration not to miss

This state-wide celebration of Victoria's food and wine industry will showcase a massive lineup of 200-plus events, including feature events, special events, World's Longest Lunch, regional events, Crawl and Bite, Eat Drin Westside, Restaurant Express and more.

There will also be free and ticketed events that will fill Melbourne's labyrinth of restaurants, laneways, lights-turned-down basements, and dizzying rooftops.

Events and Highlights at the Festival:

* Feature Events- This will include The Mixed Grill, Maximum Chips, Welcome to the Jungle, The Big Spaghetti, Take the Cake, Shed X Talks, and more.

* Sichuan Snack Fair- This free event will feature a family-friendly celebration of Sichuan province's most exceptional dishes. There will be stalls and stands, talks, tastings, demonstrations, hot & cold beer, and ten food stalls.

* Fire and Spice: An Indonesian Feast- This ticketed event will showcase an exotic Indonesian feast like no other. There will be traditional recipes, food inspired by ingredients from the Papuan highlands, and modern twists on classics.

* Marameo Erupts- This ticketed event will take you on a culinary journey through Italy's stunning volcanic wine regions. There will be selections of some of the best examples to pair with an explosive set four-course menu.

* The World's Longest Lunch- There will be three chefs who have shaped Melbourne dining and helped create the excellent food scene of Melbourne's city today. The event will feature more than 1,600 diners in Treasury Gardens for a three-course sit-down lunch.

* Ella Safari- This food tour will take you on a journey exploring one of Melbourne's hottest dining precincts. There will be anything from pretzels to momos, falafels to pet-nat. The tour will explore some of the city's favourite eateries, bars, and dessert cafes.

* Special Events- There will be free and ticketed events including high tea, feasts, roast lunch and dinners, bottomless brunch, wineries, breweries, multicultural foodie events, tastings, demonstrations, masterclasses, cheese festival, and much more.

* Eat Drink Westside- This unique event will be a collaboration between Melbourne's western region councils and Melbourne Food & Wine Festival. It will feature 17 events including Spanish, French, Ethiopian, Indian, Vietnamese, Turkish, Italian, and Lebanese cuisines, street parties, cooking classes, decadent dinners, and more.

* Global Dining Series- There will be 12 of the world's most celebrated chefs showcasing one-off collaborations hosted by Melbourne restaurants.

* Crawl and Bite- This event will explore restaurants and bars the way locals do: on foot. There will be Street Food, Laneway, Cheese & Wine, Toorak Road, Chapel Street, St Kilda, and more Crawls. Each itinerary includes three courses at three different stops.

With so many food and wine events, this Festival will undoubtedly be one not to miss.
