Fed Square has it all happening as one of the
Festival Hubs for the
Melbourne Food and Wine Festival from
15-24 March 2024. Get ready to hunker down and tuck into some good tucker at this beloved annual event. All day and into the night, Fed Square will draw you in like a magnet to wine and dine on everything that makes our city delicious. What's even more perfect is that Fed Sq is the perfect way to experience MFWF as no bookings are necessary at the Main Square.
On the weekend of
23-24 March the
Festival Stage will come alive with a celebration of local produce, presented by Vic Grown, music and family-friendly entertainment, all free, all fun, and complemented by great eating and drinking. Find the full program for the weekend on the
website , both dates running from
10.45am to 4pm. The 23rd is MC'd by
Melissa Leong , ex MasterChef judge, with an hour of music from
Hobsons Bay Coast Guard to end the day, and the 24th is MC'd by
Sofia Levin , again ending the day with an hour of music from
Bumpy . In between, there's DJ Alice churning out the tunes from start of day till 3pm. On both dates, learn how to barbecue Victorian meat and a chance to win a voucher from G McBean Family Butcher; Cake Demo with MasterChef 2020 winner
Emelia Jackson; how to make the perfect Margherita pizza, and more.

15-24 Mar for lunchtime, dinner & drinks at Swanston St Forecourt - Dan's Diner - An all-star line-up of talented people called Dan, including Brae’s Dan Hunter, Sixpenny’s Dan Puskas and Yakimono’s Daniel Wilson – to reboot the classic diner for a 2024 experience you won’t want to miss. In addition to opening for lunch, dinner and drinks every day, the diner hosts one-off special dinners from each of the Dans, plus a full dance card of great activities, guest talent and drinks adventures
17 Mar 12-5pm at Taxi Kitchen - A Great Australian Fish Tale - Tony Twitchett and John Sussman come together once again to create a truly spectacular dining experience with a celebration of Australia’s premier world-class wild-caught seafood in downtown Melbourne. Guests will be warmly welcomed with a glass of Champagne or cocktail on arrival, followed by shared plates over four courses with premium Australian wines to match.
20 Mar 6-8.45pm at Chocolate Buddha, Taxi Kitchen, and Victoria by Farmer's Daughters - Flavours of Fed Square - Experience Melbourne’s gathering place like never before on a food lovers’ tour, enjoying a bite and a glass of something special at three of its best restaurants, and meet the chefs.
21 Mar 6-9pm at Big Esso by Mabu Mabu - A First Nations Culinary Journey : Nornie Bero x Nico Albert Williams - Two powerhouse female First Nations chefs are collaborating for the first time exclusively for MFWF. Over a feast of 5 courses at Big Esso by Mabu Mabu, Nornie and Nico will share personal stories about their food culture and journey.
Dan's Diner
23-24 Mar from 11am each day at Main Square - Baker's Dozen - For the cake lovers, this event is bringing together a group of the city’s finest bakers and cakers, including Baker Bleu, Black Star, Bread Club, Holy Sugar, Kudo, Lune, Mali Bakes, Monforte Viennoiserie, Tarts Anon, The Flour and To Be Frank, for an even huger two days. From wattleseed teacake, gianduja babka, hot, hot, hot cross buns and more, all the pastry deliciousness will be at the open-air market you won't want to miss.
23-24 Mar from 11am each day at Main Square - Celebrity Sausage - The great Aussie tradition of putting a snag on sliced white meets the ingenuity of some of our best-loved performers, entertainers and cooks: more celebrity, more sausage, with thanks to Bakers Delight.
23-24 Mar from 11am-8pm on the 23rd & 11am-6pm on the 24th at Main Square - The Pizza Sessions - MFWF partners with pizza-oven firebrands Gozney to create approachable and fun pizza good times with guest talents like Joel Bennetts (Fish Shop and Burger Park, Sydney), Ellie Bouhadana (Hope St Radio), Casey Wall (Capitano, Bar Liberty), all designing pizzas you're going to love.
