The Dog Lovers Show offers, quite literally, anything and everything you could possibly need, want or should know about your family pet. Everything pooch-related will be on display from the latest and greatest pet products to dog breeders, celebrity vets and some magnificent working dogs displays. Stay and play all day with heaps of demonstrations, stalls and fun activities - Friday 5th to Sunday 7th May 2017 at the Royal Exhibition Building.
Dogs are wonderful animals. They protect us, provide valued company, save lives, work in various capacities, star in movies and offer so much fun and entertainment they are not so much pet as they become an integral member of the family. Last year, over 30,000 people attended the Melbourne Dog Lovers Show and this year is expected to be even bigger with dog lovers assembling once again in celebration of their furry friends.
Over 200 pet-related companies will be on display exhibiting their wares, anything and everything from K9 products to education and information, even the latest in pet entertainment. Purchase fashionable doggy accessories to spoil your four-legged friend, see celebrity vets live on stage offering helpful tips and advice about your pet's health and wellbeing. There will even be shows and displays by some very impressive working dogs, frisbee catchers, rescue dogs, scent dogs and even celebrity dogs.
Wander around and you'll have the opportunity to meet with over 40 registered breeders. Learn which dog would suit your family best and receive expert tips on how to keep your pup happy and healthy.
There will be an Australian Service Dog Tribute by the military, guide dogs, therapy dogs, customs, working and assistance dogs. Learn more about how dogs contribute to society and help people on a large and small scale.
Every attendee at the Dog Lovers Show will have the opportunity to win a door prize and there will be free face painting and activities for the kids, along with an onsite café for food and drinks.
The Dog Lovers Show is coming to the Royal Exhibition Building, 9 Nicholson Street, Carlton from Friday 5th May to Sunday 7th May 2017. Open from 9.30am to 5pm each day, visitors can park at the Royal Exhibition Building, which is located next to the Melbourne Museum in Carlton Gardens, or utilise surrounding street parking.
Tickets start at $17 for pensioners, $12 for children aged 5 to 15 years, $25 for adults and $68 for a family ticket. Tickets can be pre-purchased online via the Dog Lovers Show website.
