Can you believe it - we are back to celebrating the Melbourne Cup! Life is slowly returning to normal and now we can celebrate, in a COVID-safe way, the race that stops the nation. It is a great opportunity to gather your friends together and enjoy each other's company, once again. Of course, there will local racing at Thoroughbred Park with a host of activities, but if you want to glam up and hit the town, then check out these options below.

Dust off that fascinator, squeeze into your favourite fancy shoes and enjoy Melbourne Cup in Canberra once again! Book in early though, so you don't miss out!

Pialligo Estate will have three options on the 2nd November - The Glasshouse package, which has champagne and oysters on arrival, a 4-course lunch, a 3.5 hour wine package, live music, sweeps and prizes at a cost of $199 per person. The Pavilions package includes a 4-course lunch, Prosecco, 3.5 hour beverage package, DJ, sweeps and prizes for $165 per person. They also have The Plot option, which includes an event in their brand new marquee at The Plot, with a welcome glass of bubbles, a decadent 4-course lunch and a 3.5 hour beverage package. Marble and Grain in Braddon will be hosting a Melbourne Cup event with a 3-course meal and 3 hour drinks package for $179 per person. See here for details.

Public Manuka will be hosting a Melbourne Cup event from 12pm, with a set menu and a 4 hour drinks package. There will be a minimum of 10 people per booking. Bookings via email only at [email protected]. See here for details.

Hotel Realm in Barton has sold out of their main event, however they still have their Ostani Bar General Admission tickets available at $190 per person. Party-goers will have exclusive access to Ostani with a 4 hour food and beverage package from 11.30am, a canapes and live cooking station, pop up bars and much more! See here for details.

Canberra Southern Cross Clubs will be hosting events at Yarralumla Yacht Club and the Woden club, at a cost of $95 per person. See here for details.

QT Hotel will have a Frontrunner Package which includes a 2-course meal from their executive chef Josh Smith-Thirkell, a glass of G.H. Mumm on arrival and a 3 hour drinks package.
