Where was the best Melbourne Cup party outside of Flemington Race Course?First past the winning post for the best event was the Jockey Club Marquee at Rococo Noosa with the best Melbourne Cup party ever!
It's no wonder the red carpet was rolled out as the 'A' list party crowd arrived steadily from opening at 11am for the next hour or so until the venue was packed to capacity.

'Flamarique'
We could already 'feel' the music as we arrived to the red carpet entry, with Spanish trio 'Flamarique' performing everything from Latin to swing, it wasn't long before tango and salsa music enticed seasoned dancers to the floor.

Exceptional dancers....salsa, tango, latin the order of the day

Visitors from Sweden stole the show!
Incredible attention to detail by the owners of Rococo Noosa makes this one of the very best party venues on the Sunshine Coast. No detail was missed, from the marquee bar to the picnic barbecue, the large screen TVs ensuring guests were able to keep up with every moment live from Flemington Race Course for the race day that stops the nation. My first Melbourne Cup on the coast cannot be outdone; I think I'll have to return for the 2015 event.

Catching the action of Flemington
Guests came from Scotland, Sweden and all over Australia, many planning to return next year already too!
The Veuve and Chandon flowed, as did cocktails and wines, accompanied by exquisite canapés presented and served to perfection. This was prelude to the spicy prawn skewers and other delights seared on the Rococo Picnic BBQ bathed in sunshine on Noosa's iconic Hastings Street.

Champagne the most popular choice!
It seemed every time you turned around there was yet another waiter serving another platter of delicate and savoury delights.
And of course there's the annual Miss Rococo judging, fashion on the field and all that goes with it. Even the prizes were top class....magnums of bubbly handed out to all winners on the day.

Winning smiles and champagne
Words cannot describe adequately what a perfect party so I'll let the photos do the rest….
If music be the food of love…play on Rococo Noosa!
