In real life, I do discuss food exactly like how I write in my food review articles. As always my food reviews are scored only on what I've tried and the service expected of that type of establishment.
Support a good cause and have fun lawn bowling
Come and join in the fun at Brunswick Bowls Club. On Sunday, the 22nd of November, this free event aims to gather Christmas gifts for the Smith Family Toy & Book Appeal. It's an opportunity for a free get together with friends and family before the busy season. Be quick and book in for the Melbourne Charity Christmas Party.
The Smith Family Appeal began as a decision to donate Christmas presents to orphans on Christmas eve. From 1922, the Smith Family has continued its proud tradition of providing gifts to disadvantaged children. The Melbourne Charity Christmas Party supports the appeal by asking guests to bring along a new toy or book. The donated items will be sent to the appeal.
Enjoy the chance to hold a get together for a good cause. The party is from 2pm to 6pm. As an idea for a late lunch, there will be burgers, bar for drinks and artisan gelato on offer. For those who want to make the most out of their surroundings, bowling green time is also available for $20. You can challenge your mates to a game of lawn bowl but to ensure victory make sure to practice beforehand.
Enjoy some barefoot bowling at the party

Brunswick Bowls Club is one of the oldest lawn bowling clubs in Melbourne and the Southern hemisphere. Its run for the community and holds many events throughout the year. It has facilities for barefoot lawn bowling as well a pool table and pinball machine. If you want to have an earlier meet-up, the Brunswick Bowls Club opens at 12.
You can enjoy the real grass of the greens with a game of lawn balls before the party officially starts. Ideally get some practice with the lawn balls and coaching provided, before attending the party. Then when you challenge your mates to a game, with your competitive edge, they won't know what hit them. Enjoy the rest of the party, knowing you're doing your bit for charity and have a good lawn ball story to tell at Christmas.
