The Lion Hotel is on the same level as the cinemas in Melbourne Central. They have reasonably priced weekday meals. There is $12-$15 weekday lunch specials which changes daily.

What is it? You might ask. It is an English pub specialising in parmas and burgers as well as beer. Inside it is dark and dingy. They have a gaming section in there as well as an ATM. They also have TVs and I watched some of the tennis.

There is hardly any service. You order and pay at the bar. It takes forever to get meals out and for people that have half an hour breaks, it might not be such a good idea.

The meals are really big, so make sure you come with a good appetite and they also cater for vegetarians too. I had the burger special and I was really full afterwards, but the chips that came with it were cold and the salad was meh.

One person in my group got the roast beef and she didn't really like it. It was too beefy for her.

In short: come here with a good appetite.
