I don't often go out at night time - being from Sydney, I've learned not to be too fussed about being out late at night, even in the CBD.



However, I was impressed by the sight of Melbourne and the Yarra River at night time. Everything glows and shimmers in the dark, even the river itself.

The Arts Centre is not unlike the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Federation Square is also illuminated, as is the big Ferris Wheel in the distance.





Of course, it shimmers during the day - especially during sunny weather. But it has nothing on the night time viewing there.

While Sydney can be impressive at night time with all its lights (especially the Harbour Bridge and Opera house), Melbourne is most definitely one of those cities that I love to see at night time, along with Hong Kong and Paris.

So, why am I making rave reviews about Melbourne? That and Sydney are two of the biggest state capitals here in Australia - however Melbourne wins hands down when it comes to night life, doing business and the search for opportunities. I have lived in Sydney for most of my life, and maybe I am jaded - however, I will upload and enclose some pictures and you can see for yourself as to why I love Melbourne so much.
