Directed by Stephen Carr, the production will bring together cast and crew from across the state to deliver fun and laughter synonymous with The Producers.
Originally written as a film, released in 1967 and Brooks's directorial debut, The Producers tells the story of a scheming theatre producer and his mild-mannered accountant who come up with a genius plan to get rich by producing the biggest flop on Broadway. They set out to find the worst show, the worst director and worst actors but complications arise when "Springtime for Hitler," turns out to be a smash hit!
The Academy Award-winning film was later adapted for theatre as a Broadway musical in 2001.
