Sip, shop or become a stallholder

Situated in the old courthouse building on Prospect Rd, Mekko Market and Cafe is already a popular coffee and dining destination, especially amongst the locals.

The business is run by Irene, Marjukka and Tom. They are three friends who wanted to amalgamate their passions. Combining a contemporary cafe with a second-hand clothing market.

The second-hand market is different from what you would normally expect to see, anyone can become a stallholder! In fact, according to Irene, it is the first of its kind in Australia.

People can hire a rack on which they can sell their unwanted clothing. The market manages the sales and at the end of the allotted time, you can collect the money.

The indoor dining area is spacious yet cosy, it is a great place to sit and chat while enjoying a coffee or the great food prepared by Tom, the chef.

The terrace is also a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go past.
