NBA basketball champion and Olympian Patty Mills is coming to Colonnades!

South Australian basketball fans get ready to meet NBA basketball champion Patty Mills at Colonnades Shopping Centre, opposite BigW on Tuesday, August 1st, between 3.30pm and 5.00pm, as he proudly releases his new book series Patty Hits the Court and Patty and the Shadow, with co-author Jared Thomas.

Patty is also the official ambassador of Vicinity Centre's Aussie Hoops program which is Basketball Australia's official junior development program for children ages between 5 and 10 years and their families.

As the only Indigenous Australian to win an NBA Championship and currently representing the Australian Boomers, Patty will have a wealth of experience to share about being a triple Olympian (Beijing, London, Rio), winning an NBA Championship with the San Antonio Spurs, being named Person of the Year at the NAIDOC Awards 2017 and discussing the first two books in his Game Day! series.

The books are part of a fun and captivating basketball series for children ages 6 to 9 years and are an exploration of determination to overcome cultural barriers and acknowledge pride in self accomplishment and teamwork. The reader is introduced to a young Patty Mills as he practices his basketball skills and improves his dreams of playing professionally like his uncle Danny.
