Meet Mireille Guiliano Author - French Women Don't Get Facelifts
Wed 05 Feb 2014 - Thu 06 Feb 2014
"French Women Don't Get Fat" was a bit of a revolutionary book for many women, inspiring a new way of living which didn't eliminate bread and allowed us to enjoy our food while staying slim. It inspired a fantastic cook book which celebrated great food and good cooking. With recipes which include Chocolate, Champagne and a focus on pleasure, it even reached No.1 on the New York Times Bestseller List. The author, Mireille Guiliano, has now brought her no-nonsense, humorous approach to bear on her new book "French Women Don't Get Facelifts" published in December 2013.
Mireille uses this book to discusses how to age with style and attitude, rather than be beholden to the beauty trends and magazine badgering which greet women at each turn. She shares some of the well-guarded secrets French women know about looking and feeling great as the years progress. The Lord Mayor's Writers in Residence Series has sponsored Mireille's library visits to talk about her new book.
Mireille will be at the Carindale Library on Wednesday Fifth from 6 - 7:30pm and Thursday sixth of February from 10 - 11:30am to share her thoughts. Bookings are essential and can be made by calling 3403 8888. You can find out more information on the Brisbane City Council Library Website.
