To celebrate NSW Seniors Week 2013, Odyssey Travel will be hosting a series of free travel seminars with some very special guests this March. One of the highlights of this exciting travel forum program is the upcoming travel seminar in Sydney with award winning New Zealand actor and comedian Mark Hadlow, who recently appeared in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit as Dori.
Hadlow will present a one hour seminar, in which he will share his experiences of not only filming on location in New Zealand, but also his love of his Christchurch. As Hadlow has worked with Jackson several times,* expect to hear some great behind the scenes anecdotes as well as insider knowledge of must see attractions in New Zealand.
This seminar, which will take place on Monday, 18th March 2013 at 10:00 am at the Odyssey Travel office in Eastpoint Shopping Centre, coincides with the forthcoming The Hobbit Road Trip which will be hosted by Odyssey Travel this April.
This particular tour will be guided by one of the dwarves who starred in the Hobbit trilogy and includes a visit to a Hobbiton, the custom-built film-set settlement for The Hobbit film trilogy and The Lord of the Rings film trilogy and Jackson's home and headquarters in Wellington. Tour participants will also visit Auckland, Queenstown and Christchurch as part of the 10 day trip; you can view the full itinerary here.
This one of a kind experience is designed for lovers of J. R. R. Tolkien's renowned novels and the award winning The Lord of the Rings film series, and if you are unable to make a booking for the April tour, it is worth noting that there are multiple departure dates available, including August, September, October and December this year.
If you would like to know more about the The Hobbit Road Trip, it is worth heading to the special Mark Hadlow event this March, as not only will you have a unique opportunity to meet one of New Zealand's most celebrated actors and entertainers, but you also be able to learn more about New Zealand and the tour from quite a special local.
As mentioned, this travel forum is free to attend, but bookings are essential; to reserve your seat, please call 1300 888 225 or show your interest by sending an email with your name and contact number to email@example.com.
All who attend the Mark Hadlow event will also receive a $150 voucher, which can be used towards any Odyssey-operated international program.
