The famous illustrator for Emily Rodda novels
Come meet Marc McBride as part of The City of Playford's Book Week Event. On August 23rd between 3pm and 4pm McBride will be at The Shedley Theatre to meet with fans.

Best known for his illustration of the popular fantasy series 'Deltora Quest' which his partner Jennifer Rowe (Emily Rodda) is known for publishing. He has illustrated over fifty book covers including 'Hazard River' and 'Quentaris Chronicles', 'The Kraken', 'Old Ridley', 'The Deltora Book of Monsters', 'Journey from the Centre of the Earth' and'World of Monsters'.

Marc was the winner of the 1995 Western Australia Film and Video Festival for Best Art Direction.

During this visit to The Shedley Theatre he will be showing people how to create artwork and how to find ideas using your imagination. He will explain the language of art and how different colours work together. He will encourage children to try drawing simple shapes, shadowing and using light effects.

This event is completely free, so don't miss your chance to meet Marc McBride this August.
