Isobelle Carmody is one of Australia's most beloved fantasy and science fiction authors for young adults.

Her most well-known novels are the Obernewtyn Chronicles, but Carmody has also written other novels, short stories and picture books. Melburnians now have the exciting opportunity to hear Carmody speak about her works, and meet her.

This is an event not to be missed by any fantasy or science fiction fan, or by anyone who enjoys a good book.

The event will be held at the Chelsea branch of the Kingston library service, just across the road from Chelsea Railway Station.

The Kingston library service regularly organises lectures with authors such as Jane Clifton and Kerry Greenwood, so for anyone interested in meeting their favourite Australian authors it's a good idea to keep an eye on the Kingston library website .

Book by phoning 1300 135 668 or at any Kingston library branch.

Carmody's talk will be followed by book sales and signing.
