For those looking for casual Chinese fare, Meet Delight on Field Street near Chinatown is a good choice. The dishes range from those ideal for snacks to more filling main dishes.

A good choice for a snack or a side dish, their Crispy Chicken had juicy flesh which was set off nicely by the crisp coating. Though tasty enough by itself, Japanese mayonnaise was drizzled over the chicken to provide extra flavour.

One of the selections of cold dishes, the chunks of cucumber in the Garlic Cucumber Salad with Peanuts were of a generous size and had a nice bite to them. The dressing had a delectable flavour of sesame oil, and there was sufficient garlic to impart a garlicky flavour. Roasted peanuts provided contrast with their crunchiness.

We liked that the chunks of beef in the Braised Beef Rice were soft enough to be easily cut with a spoon, and the sauce had a delectable savoury flavour. Accompanying the beef was fried cabbage that still retained some texture. If you desire to add some spice, chilli sauce is provided at each table.

Coming in a serving of twelve, the filling of the Pan-fried Pork Dumplings was juicy and the dumpling skin had a nice crispiness to them. We liked that the dumpling skin was not hard to bite into. Served with the dumplings was chilli oil to serve as a dipping sauce.

The restaurant is fairly small in size and the decor gives it a casual feel. If you are looking for a good place to enjoy quick and delicious Chinese cuisine, consider giving Meet Delight a visit.
