Mediterranean Fiesta
c/o City of Moonee Valley

Right off the bat:"Mediterranean" & "Fiesta". I mean, doesn't get much better (sorta like this article). Abundance of amusements. Smorgasbord of performers. Vibrant, Venetian-style piazza. And you, mi amigo, are in for a treat. Range of activities for young, old, artistic, athletic, energetic, enervated - FOR FREE - whole fam' will be singin' La Cucaracha.

Yes, Moonee Valley Council are throwing their sixth annual fiesta. Once again celebrating this community's Mediterranean population. Like Moonee Valley, melting pot of goodies. Art to cooking, soccer to music, plus more. So much on, your head'll be spinning, mouth'll be salivating. Cornucopia of adventures in this festive arena, catering for absolutely everyone.

Down to nuts and bolts, let's peruse the ace activities (for both kids & adults) on offer. They include: traditional Greek Egg decorating, ravioli-making (sorry, this one's just for kids), soccer games, traditional Greek and Italian instrument workshops, a photobooth, Harcourts Art Tent - which are all FREE. There's also delicious yummies you can buy, from:

Via dei Fritti
Bianco Latte
Ploughman's Kitchen

But wait! At the risk of sounding incredibly cheesy, there actually is more. Four bonuses, ramping this up to the next level:

Cooking demonstrations - brains behind 'A Taste of Moonee Valley' cookbook, baking a feast of Croatian biscuits and Greek shortbread. Plus Sally from Sweetpea Cuisine, dishing up delectable Labne Dip with Spiced Dukkah, Warm Lamb Salad. Topped off with Spiced Nut Cigars with Orange Toffee Syrup.

East Keilor Bendigo Bank Bocce Competition

Pesto competition (Registrations close Sunday 13th March at midnight).

Live performances - from Lisa Marie Parker, Gruppo Culturale Italiano, EKOL School of Arts, Manasis School of Arts, Maltese Philharmonic Band, Babaganoush, Zourouna, Romina's Dance, and La La La Choir.

If driving in, please be aware the Centreway's a one-way road (which actually surrounds the venue). Parking is available along the Centreway, plus nearby Wyong St, Nyah St, and Wingara Ave.
