The facilitators Patti McBain and Tanya Servaas have extensive experience in meditation and create a tranquil and sharing environment in which to learn or hone this practice.
A few months ago I attended one of Tanya and Patti's meditation retreats - the first real group meditation experience for me outside of a yoga class. I've always found it difficult to 'still my mind' as they say, but what I found out is that it's not necessarily about stilling your mind - it's about acknowledging the things that come to your mind and then letting them go. Which is a much more enhancing experience than I'd ever imagined. I learnt some great techniques and tools to help me put meditation into practice in my daily life.
