I am a retired English teacher who has retired from teaching but not from life, which I intend to live to the full. With all my hobbies, I'm busier now than ever with my art groups, small business and gardening.

Unique markets in a unique setting

The Medina Markets are held every Saturday Morning from 8 am
until 12 noon at the Harry McGuigan Park. Entry is free and you can take your furry friend as long as they are on a leash.

Although small, the markets have a diverse range of wares for sale plus the old favourites, plants, bric-a-brac, soaps and homemade cakes.

There is also plenty of shaded parking provided by a row of well established Moreton Bay fig trees.

Another reason for visiting is the history of the area. Both the Moreton Bay figs and surrounding shops are to be heritage listed. The shops were built in the early 1950s and with its bull nosed verandas, retains the charm of yesteryear

The markets are easy to find. Just straight down Thomas Road until Medina Ave. Drive until you reach the Medina Primary School and you're there.

Come and browse and enjoy the unique atmosphere.
