Stunning and spacious apartments right along the Harbourside

The bedding in their stunning one-bedroom apartments

If I was to sum up my overall impressions of Medina Grand Harbourside Apartments in Sydney: spacious, peaceful and convenient would be such words that clearly explain the quality of this hotel.

The comfortable lounges in the one-bedroom apartments

I was fortunate to have stayed here for a city escape, and to then return on another occasion when a friend of mine was staying here. For the latter, I was invited to hang out with him with a couple of other friends. I was a bit cost effective with my stay, and opted for a studio apartment with views on the other side of the water. It wasn't too bad for the rates I was paying. The bed was super comfortable with ample space and a balcony to hang outside and enjoy a couple of drinks. The type of apartment you would be pleased to invite friends to experience, and on the occasion I stayed at this particular Medina apartment I did the same. I had a girlfriend with me for the afternoon and we chatted outside.

The rooms are sparkling clean upon arrival with quality Spirit toiletries for guests. The night here was well spent, and the amazing facilities of Darling Harbour are within easy reach.

My friend on this occasion was more indulgent and booked in a one-bedroom apartment with stunning views of the water and The Star on the other side. Brilliant by day and night. The kitchen facilities in room 109 are truly spacious. As you're cooking and preparing your food, it is nice to look out towards the water right near King Street Wharf. Comfortable lounges and stunning decor. The one-bedroom was a great hang out spot and an awesome home away from home. My studio enjoyed similar facilities, except for the size and the view. From my friend's stay, next time I stay here, I will also book in the one bedroom apartment.

The pool at Medina Grand Harbourside

On the ground floor, right near the elevators and the hotel lobby, the pool and fitness centre is there for guests to enjoy. The pool has a roof on top with a grass area to sun bake. Table and chairs are also provided right near the grass area. During my stay, I enjoyed the use of the cardio equipment in their fitness centre adjoining the pool.

An on site restaurant, Limes is also available on site at Medina Grand Harbourside. As at the time of writing this, the restaurant ownership has just changed hands and is currently closed for renovations. The restaurant is expected to be open within the coming weeks. Once Limes re-opens, guests will be able to chargeback their meals to their apartment room.

The best of Sydney's Harbourside restaurants are within easy reach from this hotel. The popular Cargo Bar at King Street Wharf is only a blocks walk away. Many different cruises depart from nearby King Street Wharf from the Sydney Showboats to nightclub and pampering cruises. The hotel is also right near the Sydney Aquarium and the newly opened Madame Tussauds, providing great entertainment for adults and kids alike. Other cruises, such as whale watching cruises and jet boating experiences are also nearby. Ferry services to Circular Quay are also within close walking distance from the hotel.

Medina Grand Harbourside is also a short stroll up the hill to George Street near Pitt Street Mall, and is also close to Darling Harbour and The Star. Walk a bit further, and the Chinese Gardens and the Sydney Entertainment Centre are also within easy reach. For business travellers, you're not too far away from the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. Another Medina serviced apartment that is a great home away from home, hence a great opportunity to unwind and relax.
