Young Lass, Good Squire come hither, Medieval Fantasy Market

Step back in time into a world of medieval and fantasy on 21 and 22 May 2016.

Medieval Market and Fantasty Faire are holding a dedicated medieval market at Ipswich City Mall.

The medieval and renaissance periods are so popular at the moment, and the fantasy world has had a resurgence riding on the success of the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings franchises. Although, serious medieval buffs will tell you that it's not about books or movie franchises, but about living history and re-enacting the past. They are of course right, but no matter what the reason for your interest, these markets will be a great day out.

The market is adding more themed vendors every day including lots of clothing, armoury, performance and reeanctment, and food vendors. Check the Facebook page for regular updates as additional stallholders get added.

If you want to come in costume, you are most welcome to. Enjoy a weekend in the Heritage District. It's mayhem, madness and magic - medieval fun.

Living history roving reenactments will be the order of the day between renaissance, fantasy and medieval market vendors selling all of the wares you could desire.

The market is held from 10am to 3pm over two days on 21 and 22 May at the Ipswich Mall.
