Pteridium esculentum (common bracken)

Renata is an accomplished artist with many collections to her name. In her latest exhibition, she explores the decoposition process of healing plants from Minjerribah / North Stradbroke Island and captures it beautifully in her time-lapse photographs.

Her intriguing collection features many familiar botanicals including Acacia concurrens (black wattle), Melaleuca quinquenervia (paper bark tea tree) and the humble Eucalyptus tereticornis (blue gum).

Most interesting is the time-lapse imagery and accompanying audio where audiences play witness to the transformation of living flora into art of an unpredictable form.
