For those who want to go to the snow, but can't afford it, the Medibank Icehouse is the place to go instead. Sure, you won't be able to ski, snowboard or enjoy the knowledge of being on top of a mountain, but at the Icehouse you get to ice-skate to bad music (Backstreet Boys anyone?) and see people tragically (or humourlessly, depending on your perspective) fall on to their buttisimo (how's that for a euphemism?).
Anyway, the Medibank Icehouse is a nice place to go for people of all ages, skill and size. For the seasoned ice-skater, the Icehouse provides an opportunity to practise your skills and display your awesomeness to those watching you skate. And for those ice-skating virgins, the Icehouse provides a skate school for both kids and adults. All lessons go for thirty minutes, with another additional thirty minutes to further practice on the ice.
The best thing about the Medibank Icehouse is that your ice-skating time is unlimited, so long as you have paid your initial fee at the front. So really, it can mean two things; more time to develop your ice-skating skills or for individuals such as myself, more time to develop a hardened buttisimo.
Medibank Icehouse is a great place to go with friends, especially during the holidays. Did not know the time was unlimited though! Last time when I went with friends we had to leave at a certain time as they had a special function on. Great review, more people should go try out the place!
