I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

The name says it all as
The Meat & Wine Co serves up flavour-packed meals accompanied by a fine list of beverages. The cuisine could be described as a fine-dining steakhouse that specialises in aged beef and a touch of South African flavour.

Located in Barangaroo the unassuming facade hides a stylish interior that makes the most of the view. The space is suitable for couples, family groups and business lunches and there are several rooms that can be booked for private functions.

The
a la carte menu has something suitable for everyone, even non-meat eaters. The
express lunch deal is a good option for sampling their wares and they also have
parking deals available for patrons.

As we were redeeming a
Red Balloon gift voucher, we had choices from a set menu and a glass of wine each. The menu has three entrees, three mains and one dessert and it is possible to order and pay for extras such as wine and coffee.

The food was well presented and great quality and the service was professional but friendly and we were seated in a prime position with a great view of the busy waterfront. The whole experience was relaxing and entirely worth the $128 - we had more than enough to eat and felt nicely mellow by the end.
