Are you up for the challenge?
Meat Free Week is an opportunity for all of us to challenge ourselves to eat less meat and be healthier.

T shirt annoucing the message

Going for one week without meat will hopefully get you thinking about eating smaller portions of meat and how we can care more about animals and the environment.

Also you can feel good by raising money for a great cause. You can get your family and friends to sponsor you for every day you go without meat and assist Bowel Cancer Australia or Voiceless, the animal protection institute.

The idea came from Lainie Bracher and Melissa Dixon who were concerned about the treatment of animals and wanted to take action. They wanted a campaign where people started talking about meat consumption and production.

From 24 to 30 March this year, the aim is to not eat any meat including fish in your meals.

Many well known chefs and community leaders also support this campaign.
