If you wish to relax and enjoy the serenity of the vineyard than a trip to McLaren Vale is just for you. Admire the countryside as you drive along the main road on a warm summer's day. You can stop at any of the local wineries and wander along the rows of rich, dark, purple grapes or sample a drop of your favourite in the restaurant or the little shop. You can also sample cheese and chocolates, whether you explore the shop, or join a tour group during your day out. There are plenty of other shops in the country village for people to browse if they prefer to look at books, clothes, jewellery and knick knacks rather than wine.

Experience the joy of watching people walking their dog near the local creek bed or on the footpaths near the quaint cottages and other country homes in the area. The Almond Train is well worth entering as it houses an almond shop as well as a restaurant with an outdoor eating area. The indoor furnishing had an old world charm which reminded people of a bygone era that countless generations experienced.
